The University of Law Real World Questions Competition (Years 10-13)

The University of Law Real World Questions competition 2021 is an annual essay writing competition for school/college pupils studying in years 10-13. There are three essay questions to choose from, covering business, law, and policing/criminal justice. Entries are judged by an esteemed panel of names in academia, law and business.

There are fantastic prizes for winners in each subject category:

Law essay grand prize:

⭐ £1000 cash prize

⭐ A week’s work experience with the Co-op’s Legal Team, and a place on an exclusive Insight Day at Clyde & Co (plus £50 per day for travel expenses if required to travel)

⭐ Two hour session with John Watkins on employability

⭐A Windows 10 laptop

Business essay grand prize:

⭐ £1000 cash prize

⭐ An exclusive workshop with PwC recruiters on how to succeed in the selection process (plus £50 per day for travel expenses if required to travel)

⭐ Two hour session with John Watkins on employability

⭐ A Windows 10 laptop

Policing and criminology essay grand prize:

⭐ £1000 cash prize

⭐ A week’s work experience with DWRM, who work with universities to offer a wide range of degree courses to students in prisons, as well as providing specialist support to them whilst in prison and on release

⭐ Two hour session with John Watkins on employability

⭐ A Windows 10 laptop

Six runners up (two runners up from each category) will receive:

⭐ A Windows 10 laptop

Last year’s inaugural competition was a huge success, with hundreds of entries and two very happy first prize winners.  The University of Law and its partners are providing some fantastic opportunities for career experience and advice from industry leaders, as well as cash and computers.
